× Dear Sir or Madam
dear sisters and brothers,
dear friends,

Due to the corona pandemic, we announce to you with great regret that we have to cancel Christian ENCOUNTERS.

We ask for your understanding that we have to cancel Christian ENCOUNTERS for this summer. Unfortunately, it is also not possible to postpone it by one year due to organizational, scheduling and personnel reasons.

Please understand our decision that we have to make in this exceptional situation!

Of course, all registered people and groups will get their already paid participation fees back. We will arrange the remittances. For this, too, we ask for some patience in the current situation.

Thank you very much for your interest in Christian ENCOUNTERS and hope to greet you "face to face" on another occasion.

Please take care of your health and your fellow human beings!

With kind regards from Bishop Michael Chalupka, State Superintendent Thomas Hennefeld and Superintendent Stefan Schröckenfuchs

A European event with a background

Die Bibel steht im Zentrum der Christlichen Begegnungstage 2020 in Graz

Christian ENCOUNTERS is a European event with a background! Following the fall of the Iron Curtain, Protestant Christians from the Lutheran churches in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic created a meeting point for the first time in 1991. Even more than 25 years on from that first initiative, central European Protestant churches continue to meet every three years, each time in a different country.

The three Protestant churches in Austria – the Protestant Church A.C., the Protestant Church H.C. and the United Methodist Church in Austria – are issuing a joint invitation to Christian ENCOUNTERS 2020. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Graz-Seckau is co-organising the event.

We look forward to welcoming our European neighbours to Austria!

Statement about Christian ENCOUNTERS

“For me, face2face is an invitation to engage in genuine encounters – sharing time and space. Meeting, being in touch with one another. Giving communication a face. Unfiltered, direct and personal.”
